"Singing mama’s is my favourite thing about maternity leave...no matter how I’m feeling it brightens up my day. Everyone is so supportive and the little ones love it. Zoie is an incredible leader, she makes you feel instantly at ease, brings her whole self and some ace songs. We sing them at home all the time and even my husband a ‘non singer’ (in his own eyes) has started singing them which I love hearing. Singing mamas and Zoie you rock and a huge huge thank you from the bottom of my heart for the singing, the laughter, the tears and the friendship." (Katy Langham)
WHAT IS SINGING MAMAS?
Singing Mamas is an incredible network of women's singing groups stretching across the UK, bring together all women (and their little ones if wished) to gather weekly and connect in song. It is an invitation to let go, a support network, a friendship group and a work out for mind, body and voice!
The little ones bathe in the harmonies and play in the middle whilst the women unwind, learn some fab and funky songs, drink tea and eat cake! No need to be a singer, just come and be gently guided, you'll be surprised at how amazing simple harmonies, layered up, can make us sound and feel!
Connecting in song improves mental health and gives us all a much needed boost and sense of community. It seriously doesn't matter whether you think you can sing or not! Give yourself (and your little ones if you wish to bring them along) the gift of harmony! Membership is taken monthly through Gocardless, for ease and so that you are in control of starting and stopping whenever you like. Please try to give one month's notice if you wish to stop so that I can offer your place out to another mama.
In person sessions run during term time and membership includes free access my online evening choir,
Membership is £30 per month You are only ever committed for 1 month, & cancel when you need to, you're totally in control of payments! If you, or someone you know might be struggling with PND, are a DV survivor or are experiencing financial hardship for any reason, please do just get in touch and we will find a way for you to be able to attend. I am trying to find funding to enable places in each group to be free or subsidised for anyone who needs them, but will never turn away someone in need, so do just ask.
If you would like to support a bursary place for a woman in need, please do buy us a virtual cuppa, or consider a monthly mug!

A few words from those who've experienced Zoie's groups...
"Singing Mamas has become such a cherished part of my week - a time to let go and be held by wonderful women and gorgeous songs. I love it! " (Ellie Blatchley)
"In my first few months of motherhood, making friends and even making conversation were a daunting prospect, but popping along to singing mamas and belting out some songs without any need for preparation or even much of a voice was an utter pleasure... not much beats the gentle companionship of fellow mums raising our voices to sing in friendship... especially when that includes Zoie and cake!" (Jennifer Sweet)
"Joining Singing Mamas was a brilliant decision for me, I'll always remember the warm greeting Zoie gave me on my first day. In those early years of motherhood the singing instantly melted away the post-natal anxiety. I'm not a good singer but it's fine because you never have to sing alone, Zoie caters for all abilities and no-one is judging. This was a space about me and my needs, rather than entirely baby-focussed. It's our own little community and I love it! The added bonus is that the babies all seemed to love it too!" (Anna Townsend)
"Where do I start? I joined online at the start of the very first lockdown and it quickly became more than just a choir, more than just a community and a little creative outlet each week. It became an absolute lifeline. It is so rare to find these spaces where you can connect with others, share your passion and be so completely yourself. Musically I have learnt so much from Zoie. I honed my skills of listening and picking up harmonies and I have challenged myself to sing parts I wouldn't ever have tried. Zoie's group has given me friendship, community, support and bags of joy and I would not be without it." (Rowan)
"Singing together is just a joy... without doubt the highlight of my week!" (Poppy Tremayne)
"I couldn't believe the sound Zoie encouraged us to make together. I didn't think it was possible in such a short period of time! A huge thank you for such a beautiful session- I’m telling everyone about it!" (Gail Reilly)
"Singing Mamas has been the highlight of my week on both my maternity leaves; lovely atmosphere, friendly company, yummy cake and beautiful songs which lift my spirits no matter how exhausted and overwhelmed I might be feeling. The babies and toddlers also love it!" (Rachel Farrington)
"Singing mamas is one of the highlights of my week! There is something very special and therapeutic about singing with other mums and babies. Zoie is so brilliant at getting us all smiling and singing together in harmony, gives me goosebumps! Thank you! Xxxxx" (Amy Davies)
"Singing mama’s is my favourite thing about maternity leave and I’m not sure what I’m going to do without it when I go back to work. No matter how I’m feeling it brightens up my day. No singing experience necessary just the desire to connect to music with our voices.
